A Futuristic Time Tunnel

The main inspiration for this project came from conversations with the clients, who expressed a desire to emphasize the process of events. The design team took this idea and developed the concept of a Time Tunnel. By stretching the depth of the entrance door, the design extends the sense of time from the lobby into the office space, creating a transition from the real world to the future.

The office space features a combination of contrasting materials to convey the company's technological and humanistic characteristics. Cold-feeling stainless steel and warm-feeling wood are used to improve the overall coordination of the space, creating a harmonious blend of technology and comfort.

The lobby, made of white sintered stone for the floor and walls, leads to the Time Tunnel. The tunnel itself is constructed with brushed stainless steel walls and a black marble floor, creating a sleek and futuristic atmosphere.

The office space spans approximately 1,600 square meters and is designed to enhance the interaction between employees and the environment. The Time Tunnel design technique creates a sense of the future as employees pass through the entrance, with the tunnel's construction curtain wall providing a glimpse of the mysterious science and technology within. Natural light and the outdoor environment are introduced into the tunnel through the ground reflected black stone and matte metal, further enhancing the futuristic ambiance.

The project, which began in March 2021 in Beijing, was completed in November of the same year and became operational at the end of November. The design has received recognition for its creativity and ingenuity, winning the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2023. This award acknowledges designs that incorporate best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
